The Bunker coworking Space has been in operation since early 2021, supporting the growing local businesses who have outgrown the home office, and they are looking for a community to create more focus. It is a low cost option and has a mix of growing businesses, psychologists and consultants, and blow-ins, needing a short term desk or meeting room.
The Bunker was not designed to have a focus on a strong financial return, rather give me an office with interesting, motivate, positive people that I could operate out of. It could be described as my office with friends 🙂
Our overheads are extremely low, there are no staff, if I am away the members look after it, there are no advertising costs, it is all Google and word of mouth plus a few networking events during the month. Even though it is the lowest cost coworking space in town it always returns a profit, and I like to reinvest some of that profit into entrepreneurs.
I find investing in people so much more rewarding than investing in things, and I love seeing businesses develop and bring more income into their local community. Growing profitable local businesses is the backbone of all communities.
Many people think success is creating a big amazing business, and that is true for some. If you create a small business that helps others. Then you surround yourself with interesting positive people, you can find side-gigs and profitable opportunities walking in the door.
Profitable business is a mindset, and I believe that this is the reason for the success of the Tropical Innovation Festival, it changes how you look at business subconsciously.
